Everything's crazy, but by divine law -because EVERYTHING is crazy, nothing is-, it is just normal for me now so it is tough to remember and communicate the things that are of interest or value.
Ummm....
a bird pooped on my sleeve while walking back to the Penche[apartment].... It was
my first time enjoying this occurance so I noted it in my diary as to
not forget this monumental moment hahaha! XD
I
was like aw, man! but then thirty seconds later I looked up and this
crazy old drunk guy stumbled out of the bar and yelled, ¨LOS MORMONES!
I
knew this guy from an early time when we were teaching these police
officers that kinda just stand around all day on their phones along the
highway. As we were talking with them several weeks ago, this same guy
came and got all up in our faces yelling: ¨You don´t know ANYTHING!" to
which I replied "You´re not wrong, I only have like two weeks in
Argentina." he then ranted about how awful we are to which I just acted
really, really dumb and confused... though to be fair I was haha!
ANYWAYS,
it was this guy, and I felt inclined to yell back, "MI AMIGO!" as all
the people in the street began to watch this man. He then basically said, ¨The Mormons! they're from the USA, we gotta kill them, all!"
My
comp and I just smiled and waved and kept on our way, cuz despite his wrath and fury, I could tell that either his back or his liver would give
out long before our courage! XD
Well... yeah
that's all I can really remember of being of interest, other than I bought new shoes finally and a backpack because they are approved here and
way more comfy.
We had a baptism but the kid
called like an hour before and said he couldn't... little rascal still
has my white pants darn it! XD gonna track that guy down!
Through
out all the madness and confusion that we call Argentina, life is good! I am
learning and growing and becoming so much through this all, and not
just of trivial day to day living. I am learning of my Savior and my
Master, and it is a wonderful though difficult process. I am finding
more and more that my true source of joy is and always has been and will
be Jesus Christ. As I learn of Him, I strive to obtain more faith in
Him, and I then seek to apply what I learn. As I reach out and actually
open my mouth though I have such limited ability, I find great joy in
testifying of that which is true and lovely, and as I spend time with
these people, I am learning to love them. It is not easy, but as Elder
Jefferey R. Holland states, Salvation is not cheap! The beauty of life
is all around, just as the ugliness of the world. There are small and
simple daily choices we make, we chose our attitude, we choose our
actions, and by guiding these small choices, we steer ourselves where we
really want to go. As Elder Neal A Maxwell has wonderfully taught, Partaking
of a bitter cup without becoming bitter is part of our emulation of
Jesus Christ.
There are trials and adversity
and setbacks every day, but there are blessings, and hope and healing to
be found in and through our Savior, every hour.
As
He himself taught, In this world we have tribulation, but He has
overcome the world, and he offers his strength that we too, may overcome
the world. :)
LOVE YOU ALL! FAMILY, STAY
RIGHTEOUS IN BOTH MEANINGS OF THE WORD! Thank you to everyone who has
helped me get to this point, I am confident the lord will bless and
consecrate your efforts to help me and others greatly to your eternal
gain. :)
