[Week 9] Plane tickets and Flash Floods

SO, it was my first Zone Conference this past week, we went to the muy cheto [really posh] area called, "Ramos Mejia" and ate at a nice fancy restaurant... which was weird hahaha!
These past two or so weeks have really been challenging for me, so I went into Zone Conference looking for some sympathy, hope, and a kind word to raise my spirits. WELP, I GOT THE HAMMER hahahaha!!!!!  Hermana Resek [the Mission Pres' wife] said if we sleep in, if we do not go to bed on time, if we don't do exercises and everything according to the rules and schedule perfectly, or if we don't want to, then "Here's the door and there's an Airplane!!!" O_O My sensitive self took it straight to the nads and it HURT, especially when I was seeking something.... a LITTLE different hahaha!!!  BUT after some time, my stress started to leave and we made it into a joke. If 10:30pm rolled around and someone in our Penche [apartment] wasn't laying down in bed, we would all just start saying "THERE IS AN AIRPLANE!" or "Did somebody just say airplane?" etc.

IT helped me cope a lot and realize her statement was if someone didn't WANT to be obedient and thus wasn't, she doesn't want them here, but I really DO WANT to be obedient, though it is really really fricken hard :P

I definitely have my weaknesses but the Lord taught me this week a much more personal version of Ether 12:27. If I have my many weaknesses, with the rules, with my attitude, with the language, with my companion, and I become Humble through them and teachable and rely more fully on the Lord, then I am doing exactly as He wishes.  God does not want us to suffer and stretch merely so we can say we did or simply to experience pain, He tells us to run faster or walk further or reach higher because THAT is our divine potential and His divine plan for us.

A moments anguish is well worth the coming sunlight, so patience and humility are what I am currently reaching for daily. :)

In other news, this morning we got woken up at 4am and SURPRISE!!!  Our pench was totally FLOODED!!!! WOOT WOOOOOTTTT hahaha!  We were freaking out... like, OH crap x44

BUT after an hour of cleanup and such, all was decently dry and the water was no longer several inches high on the floors. We were exhausted tho so we went back to bed for one more precious hour, and as we woke up we received a phone call... and just like that we found out one Elder is leaving today (Elder Pertile, a big hilarious man from Paraguay whom I love dearly), and man I will miss him! He was the goofball who has kept me sane w/ the pressure of the mission and the despair of current trials.  But all will be well, the Elder we are receiving is really strict but a stud... I will simply need to adjust and strive my best to adapt. :)

But yeah, when ppl are rapidly pulled out of  a given area and moved to a new one, it is called a flash, so I couldn't help but chuckle a bit when I realized this morning we had:

A flash flood!  (buhdum CSH!) XD

Yeah, that was awful ...but so was the situation so they go hand and hand and I can laugh about it either way haha!

Love you all!  BTW, yes we are actually working hard and contacting and teaching a BUNCH, I just don't remeber names very well and still don't really know the language so its hard to express what occurs lessons wise and with the ppl etc.

FAMILY YOU ARE AWESOME!!!!! Friends... well, i don't really have many but like... idk, if you are reading this you a real one ;)

Til next monday :P
